Welcome to Coffee Egypt, a unique cafe that stands as a beacon of respite for travelers journeying between the enchanting city of Aswan and the iconic temples of Abu Simbel. Nestled along the scenic أسوان - أبو سمبل road in the Aswan Governorate, this charming cafe delivers not just coffee, but an entire experience wrapped in the warm embrace of Egyptian Nubian culture.

As you step into Coffee Egypt, you're immediately greeted by the friendly staff whose hospitality feels like a refreshing breeze in the heat of the desert. With only a short drive away from the stunning temples—approximately an hour and twenty minutes—you’ll be thankful for this oasis. The cafe is adorned with traditional decor, and you can enjoy your drinks while sitting under a beautiful pergola roof, making it an ideal spot to unwind and take a break from your travels.

The menu offers a delightful selection of beverages that include rich, fragrant coffee and invigorating tea, perfect companions for your journey. Although the prices are slightly higher than standard cafes—understandably so, given its exclusive location—many find that the experience and ambiance make it worth every pound. The cafe also offers a variety of snacks and cold drinks, along with shisha for those looking to indulge further.

Customer reviews rave about the cleanliness of the facilities, from the spotless restrooms to the general upkeep of the cafe, which adds another layer of comfort to your visit. One patron, likita, describes Coffee Egypt as “an oasis for travelers,” emphasizing its role as a much-needed stop along the way to Abu Simbel. Additionally, Pashupatinath Misra highlights its reputation as a popular “toilet stop,” where travelers can stretch their legs and refresh themselves.

So whether you’re seeking a morning coffee to invigorate your journey or a serene space to gather your thoughts, Coffee Egypt promises an authentic experience wrapped in the beauty of the desert landscape. Make sure to stop by, grab a drink, and soak in the Nubian ambiance that truly makes this location special.

A small coffee shop in the desert on the way to Abu simbel from Aswan. About one hour, twenty minutes to the temples. Very friendly staff. Mostly snacks, coffee, cold drinks, alcohol and lots of shisha. The toilet s were very clean 10 EP per person . Its entire roof is a pergola. They also have some souvenir s. It's an oasis for traveller s.

This is the only place from Aswan to Abu Simbel where you can stop and get some coffee and tea. The coffee and tea is fairly expensive compared to other restaurants or cafe but since this is the only spot on the way you have a premium. The ambiance is very Nubian. This is a nice spot to get out and grab a drink and get a stretch for another 2 hour drive to Abu Simbel.
